How to Use Your Kids Affirmation Cards

Small reminders. Meaningful moments

You don't need a perfect routine or a lot of time.

Just pick a card, pause for a moment, and let the words become part of your child's day.

One card. One little conversation. One meaningful moment at a time.

HOW IT WORKS

Make it a little ritual

The cards are designed to fit naturally into everyday life. There is no right or wrong way to use them.

🌈 Pick a card

Let your child choose one, or choose one for them.

💬 Read it together

Read the affirmation slowly and let your child repeat it aloud.

💛 Talk about it

Ask what the affirmation means to them or when they might need that reminder.

🌱 Repeat

Come back to the cards regularly and let the affirmations become familiar little reminders.

5 EASY WAYS TO USE THE CARDS

Find your family's little ritual

🌙 1. Bedtime Ritual

End the day with one positive thought.

Pick a card, read it together, and let your child repeat the affirmation before going to sleep.

“What do these words make you think about today?”

☀️ 2. Start the Day

Begin the morning with a small moment of encouragement.

Pick a card before school or during breakfast and carry its message through the day.

“Let's keep this reminder with us today.”

🎒 3. Before a Big Moment

Some moments feel bigger than others — a new class, a performance, a test, meeting new people or trying something unfamiliar.

Choose an affirmation that gives your child the reminder they need in that moment.

“You can try. You don't have to be perfect.”

☁️ 4. When Feelings Feel Big

When emotions are difficult to express, a simple affirmation can create an opening for conversation.

Choose a card from Big Feelings, read it together and give your child space to share.

“It's okay to feel this way. Let's talk about it.”

💛 5. A Parent-Child Moment

You don't always need a reason.

Pick a card together, read it aloud and spend a few quiet minutes talking, listening or simply being together. Sometimes the ritual itself is the gift.

LET YOUR CHILD CHOOSE

Give them a little ownership

You don't always have to choose the card.

Place the deck somewhere your child can easily see it and let them pick the affirmation that speaks to them.

Sometimes the card they choose tells you something about what they need that day.

Optional little callout:

“Which one do you need today?”

DON'T TURN IT INTO A TEST

There are no wrong answers.

Affirmations aren't something children need to memorise perfectly.

Let them repeat the words in their own way. Let them ask questions. Let them disagree sometimes. Let the conversation happen naturally.

The goal isn't perfection. The goal is connection.
